Dr. Andrew Gillihan is on a mission to redefine what physical therapy in Cincinnati looks like. Originally from Boise, Idaho, Andrew’s journey into human performance began at Boise State University, where he earned his B.S. in Kinesiology. Driven by a fascination with the “why” behind human movement, he became a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist.
Andrew didn’t stop at the physical; he returned to Boise State to earn a Master’s in Kinesiology with a focus on Sports & Exercise Psychology. His graduate research spanned everything from concussion awareness to motor learning, culminating in the creation of the Bronco Fitness Challenge. This deep dive into the psychology of sport allows him to treat the athlete, not just the injury.
Clinical Expertise & Education
After completing his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Arkansas State University, Dr. Gillihan focused his research on population health and myofascial release (MFR) techniques for tactical professionals. His diverse clinical background—ranging from acute care to outpatient sports—gives him a holistic perspective on recovery.
Specializing in High-Level Performance
Dr. Gillihan specializes in treating those who demand the most from their bodies, including:
Tactical Professionals: Service members, veterans, law enforcement, and first responders.
Combat Athletes: Specialized care for high-impact sports.
Weightlifters & Runners: Biomechanical analysis to keep you under the bar or on the trail.
Everyday Gym-Goers: Bridging the gap between “pain-free” and “performance-ready.”
Personal Mission
Andrew believes everyone has a “moonshot”—that one big athletic or physical dream that feels just out of reach. He is passionate about using his background in orthopedics and sports psychology to help you bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
