Morgan was born in Baton Rouge Louisiana. As a child he enjoyed the outdoors and most organized sports. His parents got him involved early in any and everything from basketball to track and field. He developed a particular affinity to running/racing often challenging anyone to a race as adolescent. This lead to Morgan trying out for his high school track team when he was in just the 6th grade. He then ran for his schools track team until he graduated in 2003. From there Morgan attended LSU where he wanted to continue in his parents footsteps of having a career in healthcare and graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s of science in Kinesiology. In 2008 he began attending Our Lady of the Lake college (now Fran U) and was accepted into the physical therapy assistant program. After graduating in 2010, Morgan has worked in several settings from inpatient acute care to outpatient neuro. Morgan also married his high school sweetheart in 2010 and they celebrated 13 years of marriage this past August.
Morgan’s wife is a Sports Medicine physician working for Tulane University in New Orleans. In 2011 Morgan felt like there was something missing after graduating in 2007 from LSU and not having any organized sport to play. He found CrossFit in that May and has since gone on to compete with a team at the regional level in 2014 as well as began coaching after getting is CF LEVEL 1 in 2017.Morgan has lived and worked in Italy, Washington state, and California over the course of his career. But he has always thought of Louisiana as his home. Morgan, his wife Jami and their son Jack just moved to New Orleans. Morgan is very excited to join the team and we look forward to what he will do with Alinea Performance.
